I formatted the wrong external drive. I purchased and downloaded Recoverit in a hope to recover some pictures, video and excel files. It took about 1.5 hour to scan the drive. then about 2 hours to recover it. ONLY to find out that about 80% of the pictures (jpg) are recovered, non of the video recovered are working and NON of the excel files worked either. they over promise under deliver. Mike
