Seriously if you have any other option just do it. One way rental cars often aren't much more expensive.
Needed a ride so I thought I would try a greyhound for the first time ever that was the dumbest idea I've ever had. Bus didn't show up. Customer service didn't know where the bus was. App did not update. No indication of when the bus was coming. Waited 45 minutes and then got a rental car. They refused to refund the money because I didn't wait for at least 2 hours. That is absolutely insane.
