Beneficiaries beware
My mother had a small account with them. She had me and my brother as beneficiaries. When she died, they required sooooo much in order to collect. Certified letters with notary signatures etc. I ended up sending them everything twice. I took more time and energy for a couple of thousands dollars, then all my mothers accounts combined. I kid you not. Now I keep getting emails about the account that should be closed. You can't reach anyone by phone . My moms broker emailed them and they said they would call me. I got an email a couple of days later telling me they gave me their condolences and told me to send in all the paperwork etc that I described above. I already got a check from them. They don't even know this? Beware.
