A platform for sexual harassment not dog-sitting.
I signed up for PetBacker two days ago and I’m shocked about that platform, since I only got contacted by creepy, horrible men since then. One was specifically disgusting and vulgar suggesting that he would like me to come over for sex with his dog. I btw didn’t have any pictures of myself on my profile, but just had my age indicated and that I’m female. I contacted the service of PetBacker several times and in the end they removed the user. However, I’m shocked about the customer service's indifference. When I asked, if PetBacker applies any measurements or guidelines trying to ensure at least digital safety, such as double-checking some of the user’s profiles, they merely responded that everybody has the right to access their platform. I cannot recommend PetBacker based on my experience. This is not a platform for dog-sitting, but for sexual harassment.
