Jovs 4D Laser Light Therapy Mask & neck device Misleading claims, no results after 5+ months, and dismissive customer service

I purchased the JOVS 4D Laser Light Therapy Mask on September 6, 2025 after reviewing the company’s marketing, which strongly suggested visible wrinkle reduction and skin improvement within a short timeframe. Their materials include statements such as “visible results in 1–2 weeks,” “professional-grade results at home,” “reduces forehead lines,” and graphics implying deeper penetration and superior effectiveness versus standard LED masks. I began using the device consistently on September 9, 2025 and continued through February 2026 (over five months), following instructions carefully and using it as directed. Despite this prolonged, compliant use, I did not see meaningful wrinkle reduction or visible improvements consistent with those claims. The results did not match the expectations created by their advertising language or visuals. Another issue is wearability. The mask is bulky and uncomfortable for longer sessions, which contradicts the advertised impression of a lightweight, perfectly contoured, comfortable design. Consistent treatments are essential for light therapy devices, and comfort plays a major role in that. This design made it difficult to use for the recommended duration. Customer service experience: I contacted support beginning February 10, 2026 to report the issue and request help. Instead of addressing the discrepancy between their claims and my documented usage, responses were repetitive and dismissive. I was told things like “results vary by individual” and encouraged to keep using the device. They requested comparison photos rather than offering a real resolution. The only solutions offered were a 10% discount on another purchase or complimentary sheet masks, which does not resolve a performance concern for a high-priced device. My concern is not simply that results vary — that is expected with skincare. The issue is that the advertising creates a strong impression of predictable, visible improvement in a short time, yet that was not my experience even after long-term proper use. For comparison, devices like Omnilux Contour Face or CurrentBody Skin LED Mask (Series 2) are widely preferred because they use flexible silicone designs that conform to the face, making consistent contact easier and sessions more comfortable. They also clearly publish wavelength ranges commonly used in clinical-style LED treatments (red + near-infrared), which helps consumers understand what they are purchasing. Bottom line: I genuinely wanted this product to work and gave it a fair, extended trial. However, due to lack of results, poor comfort, and an unhelpful customer-service process, I would not repurchase. Based on my experience, I would choose a flexible silicone LED mask instead for better fit, comfort, and consistency.
