Stay away from MidwayUSA
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience purchasing a Sig Sauer MCX Spear from MidwayUSA. On May 29, 2026, I purchased this rifle for approximately $4,000+ before tax. Shortly afterward, I discovered the identical rifle being offered elsewhere for around $2,500—a difference of roughly $1,500. As a customer, and especially as an active-duty U.S. Army service member who carefully researches major purchases, I found this price disparity shocking. When I contacted MidwayUSA and respectfully requested an explanation or some form of price adjustment, I was informed that the company does not price match competitors and was offered a $25 gift card instead. A $25 gift card on a purchase exceeding $4,000 feels dismissive and does not meaningfully address a $1,500 price gap. Customers should be aware that MidwayUSA's pricing can be dramatically higher than competing retailers on certain firearms. Before making any major purchase, I strongly recommend comparing prices across multiple vendors, as doing so could potentially save thousands of dollars. While MidwayUSA has every right to set its own prices, I believe this experience reflects poor customer value and disappointing post-sale customer service. I will be far more cautious about making large purchases from this company in the future.
