AbeBooks and World of Books misled me and did not honor my order!
I ordered a book through AbeBooks (seller was World of Books; previously known as SecondSale) and I had a bad experience. Initially, I was going to forget about it, but I have decided that I want to warn other people so they don't use these disreputable companies. My order was accepted, my credit card charged. And while I was waiting for delivery - AbeBooks CANCELLED MY ORDER - with the ONLY explanation that "bookseller accepted order in error". I wrote to AbeBooks asking for a better explanation and they never responded! Now I see the book relisted for sale - 3 TIMES THE PRICE! That is dishonest. I guess the seller decided they had made a mistake on the price. But that's not my problem! AbeBooks AND World of Books (or whatever they are changing their name to these days) should have honored the sale. I will NEVER use AbeBooks again. And I advise that no one else should buy from them. There are other honest booksellers on the Internet.
