Don't use them. All our issues listed, judge for yourself.
We worked with nextsmartship for over two years and more things went wrong than right. To start off it took almost a full month from the moment we signed the contract and the moment they could start shipping our orders, creating a huge logistical nightmare and a delay in launching our business in a rapidly developing market (ecofriendly face masks). Soon we learned that they just subcontract their international deliveries to 4px (another larger global fulfilllment company), so whenever there was a problem it took for ages to solve as we they always needed to sort out the problem with 4px first. Their shopify connection works pretty badly since every order needs to be re-approved again manually in their OMS. Eventually we decided to look for other 3PL services after a bunch of unforgivable issues. First they/4PX lost numerous parcels between the moment they create a waybill and before the parcel leaves the warehouse. They refused to compensate us for any of this while it is clearly stated in their policy that they should. Also, many products arrived shipped without a box, damaging our goods, leading to complaints from customers. Also from one day to the other they decided that they would stop the partnership with 4PX's warehouse in Belgium, leaving us no option than to go manually pick up our leftover stock in that warehouse and look for a different solution ourselves. When we decided we wanted to move leftover stock from the 4px warehouse in Los Angeles, they quoted us a ridiculous price that was much more than the value of the inventory itself and they even told us it would not be possible for us to go pick up our leftover stock ourselves. We were planning to donate it to a local non-profit but they refused that option and destroyed all our inventory instead. When they kept insisting we should add balance to our account while not dealing with any of the issues and not compensating us for lost goods and paid shipping costs for parcels that never arrived, we decided to pull the plug. We should have done it much earlier. All Nextsmartship is, is a middleman trying to make some extra money on 4PX's fulfillment service. So you better just close a contract with them instead. Yet, I'm not sure if 4PX would be the best either. We are for now still looking for a good 3PL service in China, but haven't really found the perfect one.
