Very disappointing experience
Love Anthropologie, but I will never order online again I love Anthropologie and shop in store regularly, so I’m incredibly disappointed that my first experience ordering online has been this bad. I ordered a selection of dresses for my holiday on a Friday and paid extra for expedited 1-2 day delivery. I appreciate weekends are unlikely to be included, but the parcel didn’t arrive until Wednesday, by which point I was already on holiday. One of the dresses couldn’t be expedited and was due separately around five days later. The first parcel arrived while I was away. I had specifically requested that it be left inside my enclosed porch, but instead it was left outside by my front door, completely visible from the main road. I had to contact my neighbour while I was on holiday and ask them to go round and move it into the porch, as I genuinely don’t think it would have still been there when I returned. When I got home, the final dress still hadn’t arrived. When it eventually did, it had a HUGE stain across the front. I’m genuinely shocked that a dress in this condition was even packaged and sent to a customer. I immediately emailed Anthropologie with photographs. The following day I received what appeared to be an automated response offering me 15% off the dress. I replied straight away explaining that this was completely unacceptable - I had barely taken the dress out of the packaging because the stain made it completely unwearable - and asked to return it for a full refund. Four days later, I have had no further response. I then tried the online chat, waited around 20 minutes and was eventually told that nobody was available. I’m now out of pocket and spending my own time repeatedly chasing a company simply to return a badly damaged item that should never have been sent to me in the first place. For a retailer like Anthropologie, I expected considerably better. I still love the stores, but after this experience I will never order from Anthropologie online again. Incredibly disappointing.
