Not Worth the Monthly Fee
I paid for the monthly Superprof pass and then had to pay separately for the tutor on top, which already makes it feel quite expensive for what you actually get. Unfortunately, in my case, I paid for a whole month and didn’t receive a single proper tuition lesson because the tutor was extremely poorly organised and communication was almost nonexistent. We had clearly agreed a structure around an exam deadline she was fully aware of and had accepted, but there was no consistency, no reliability, and very little accountability. What surprised me most is that there doesn’t seem to be much quality control or oversight from Superprof when things go wrong like this. I raised the issue with the platform and never really got a meaningful update or outcome on how they would stop similar situations happening to other students. For a service where you are paying a subscription just to access tutors, I think there should be far more protection and monitoring of tutor standards. Honestly, I found it much better value just finding a face-to-face tutor locally where you can actually build trust and know the person is committed. I’ve since deleted my account and would use another site in future.
