Great system but currently too expensive now.
Wanted to wait a number of months to give a fair assessment of the EcoFlow stream product. It was very simple to get up and running - the app is very good but it can use up your phone battery if you leave it running for long periods of time and so I close the app once I have finished with it. I have a stream ultra and AC PRO and these cover the base load of the house with 4 x200 watt panels. I partly charge the stream units on a cheap rate tariff overnight and so I typically only pay about 30p a day for electricity(plus the ridiculous 54p standing charge). Once I can plug in some more panels - it will just be the standing charge I have to pay for about 8 months of the year. I bought my system on sale before EcoFlow hiked up the prices and it should pay for itself in about 6 years. It would not make financial sense to buy it at current prices (£1000 price increase since Milliband said he would legalise and simplify everything - which he has not been able to do yet). The other challenges were getting it properly plumbed in by an electrician with a fused spur and a bi-directional rcbo and notifying the DNO with a G98. Also waiting to see if size (3x3m) and placement rules (at least 5m from boundary) on solar panel ground mounts are going to be relaxed as the current rules would require planning permission to ground mount the 4x450w panels which came with the Stream. So a great system hence the 5 stars , but price increases and lack of movement in getting the “plug in” bit legalised/simplified mean that it probably isn’t worth it unless the Stream prices come down massively or the electric price shoots up.
