I have been using Alpha Picks for around two years now. One thing I've noticed is that many picks seem to jump 5–10% right at the 5:00pm (UK time) buy alert, but I often don't receive the pick details until around 5:05pm, meaning some of the initial gain is missed. That said, my overall returns have been far better than what I would likely have achieved on my own. Some picks have fallen by as much as 50%, but others have gone on to gain 500% or more, which more than makes up for the losers. I haven't yet experienced a major market pullback while using the service, so it will be interesting to see how the picks perform in a tougher environment. Overall, I would give Alpha Picks 4 stars. The main downside is the cost, and I don't like that tax is added at the final checkout stage rather than being included in the advertised price.
