Predatory/opportunistic "business"
Scam of a company. They cold call you for expired SSL certificate which in our case was not even the case. They make it sound urgent, thankfully I did not give them our GoDaddy password so they couldn't actually provide any service they claimed I needed. I'm sure they would hold me hostage if they did. Our IT person fixed the website promptly, but SSL Guru charged us without our permission and hides behind their 30 day refund policy. I was not expecting to be charged since they didn't do anything for me, so didn't even notice the charge until after the 30 days. They also sign you up for a "subscription" for x # of years which prevents credit card companies from disputing the charges. SSL Guru has their scam down to a fine art is seems. Despite the company's attempt to bribe away 1 star reviews, there are enough 1 star reviews on here to clearly see this company has no ethics and preys off of small businesses and individuals with extremely unethical "business practices".
