Recruitment experience
I had an extremely disappointing experience with the recruitment process. I was scheduled for a video interview on Google Meet. I joined the meeting on time and waited for the entire 30-minute slot, but the recruiter never showed up. After the meeting, I emailed her to ask what had happened. Surprisingly, she replied that she had also been waiting in the meeting and that nobody had joined. This made no sense, as I had joined the exact Google Meet link that she had created and sent to me. She then claimed that she had sent me an email beforehand to inform me of an issue and suggested it had probably gone to my spam folder. I checked carefully, including my spam folder, and there was absolutely nothing. Every previous email from her had always arrived in my main inbox without any problem. She rescheduled the interview for two days later. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened again. She never joined the meeting, and this time she hadn't even created a Google Meet link. Since we had agreed on the interview time by email, I took the initiative to create a Google Meet myself and sent her an invitation. Despite that, she still never joined. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. Candidates invest time preparing for interviews, organizing their schedules, and making themselves available, only to be left waiting without any explanation. It shows a complete lack of respect for applicants. I want to make it clear that this review is not directed at Lodgify as a company, but at the recruitment process and the lack of professionalism shown by the people responsible for hiring. I sincerely hope this experience is taken seriously and that future candidates are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.
