When things go wrong
Our last shipment to Canada was mishandled by a major carrier, which erroneously labeled our goods as "Dangerous Goods." Correcting this from Canada proved to be a challenge, met with the systemic frustration of dealing with a large North American carrier. After multiple calls and redirects, I was advised to send an email, only to encounter a respondent who refused to assist.
Upon learning of our difficulties, our agent Jessie promptly addressed the issue. Her involvement, I believe, led to the resolution. Progress was stalled until she stepped in.
The true test of others' capabilities is when things go awry. Jessie impressed us with her dedication, tackling the problem and remaining committed until the delivery was completed. The Foresmart team proves their skill throughout the shipping process, persisting until the end. This may seem fundamental, but it's a trait that motivates this review.

My situation: I import goods from several Chinese suppliers on a single container. I have developed a strong relationship with my agent Jessie, at the Shenzhen office. She is my single point of contact with Foresmart. She coordinates delivery with every supplier so that my goods all arrive at her facility in an efficient manner, coincident with the dates to meet shipping deadlines.
She is thorough and ensures that each supplier provides the required paperwork.
She is committed, and always communicates in a timely manner.
She is a problem solver, and problems arise. It is our experience that she views our problems as her own, and works toward taking the necessary steps.
She has established a position of trust, and we consider ourselves fortunate to be associated with her.
And she doesn't work alone, she has the support of an efficient office. The warehouse staff are capable as the containers are always efficiently packed, without wasted space. We have had 0.00% damaged products on each of our 40' containers.

This is my second container of consolidated goods purchased using Foresmart, in Guangzhou.
Jessie remains my single point of contact, and it feels as though I have an extension of our offices in China.
Jessie was able to spend time with me during my recent visit to the Canton Fair in April. She was quickly able to understand the key aspects of various products that I was searching, and actively contributed to the success of most of the transactions that I was able to negotiate. My success at the Fair was a direct result of her contribution. I am indebted to Foresmart for enabling that experience.
This container is the consolidation of products from 10 different suppliers. Jessie not only consolidates the goods but also contacts each supplier to ensure that the domestic freight within China to her warehouse is competitively priced.
I feel very fortunate to have become associated with this agency. I continue to receive what I consider to be stellar treatment.
