Rangermaster Dual fuel estate 90 less than 4 years old
Review of Rangemaster Dual fuel estate 90 less than 4 years old. We purchased the above model from Currys. These appliances are not at the cheap end of the market and they should be built to last. At the time of purchase the appliance came with 1 year year warranty extendable to 2 years if registered online within 30 days. Note that Rangemaster currently has a promotion for a 5 Year warranty which I believe should be the default warranty for these appliances. I am giving a one star review because of the following problems since the warranty has expired. 1) The main oven does not cook evenly. It bakes less on the left side and less at the front. Yes the oven is level. 2) The appliance sometimes turns itself off when using a temperature over 220c typically when baking bread. 3) The clock timer has now decided that it will no longer bleep to indicate time is up. A power reset does not fix. 4) The chrome finish on one of the door handles has started to chip off. Only ever been cleaned with a microfibre cloth. The cooker has been meticulously maintained, professionally installed and has had relatively light usage. I do not think it is acceptable for this many faults to appear on this type of appliance over this period of time.
