Ordered a carlinkit 2air through Amazon and connected it to a Skoda Superb 3V. Initially it showed up in the radio of the car only for a millisecond. After contacting the support team at carlinkit, the issue could be sorted out pretty quickly. It turned out, that the usb that was included in the box was not working correctly. After replacing this cable, the carlinkit dongle works like a charm, even with multiple phones.
