Elegoo makes a good 3D printer, but there may be Quality issues.
Elegoo makes a good 3D printer, the Centauri Carbon, is a great entry level core XY printer if you can get a good one. I think the biggest issue with Elegoo is quality control. Several people I know, as well as myself have experienced minor to major issue when buying new printer from Elegoo. With my printer, the entire outer enclosure was warped and out of square by abound a 1/4”. It was so bad that the glass door was misaligned and would not close. I don’t want to come down too much on Elegoo, because this could have been done in shipping, and even though it’s taken a week of back and fourth with the company, sending detailed pictures and videos to prove the damage is legit, they are finally working with me to replace the unit. Every communication takes 24 hrs. to get a response, even if the response is a simple yes/no answer and regardless if I had already answered the question in a previous communication. All I’m saying is I would like to see the company have a better quality control program and quicker communications when dealing with their customers who have issues. The last email I received from Elegoo was that “their colleague” would contact me soon with details on a replacement printer. What does this even mean? Update 10/30/25 I finally got a return label, it was very clear that I only had 7 days to ship the printer or they would close the case— strange. The return address on the label is to an individual’s home (residence) in Arizona— okay, very strange. I looked the address up on Google Maps and yep, it’s someone’s home, pool in the backyard and everything. Still have no ideal when or if I will get a replacement printer. This is so unorthodox, I’m not sure what’s going on. Based on what they are putting me through I would avoid dealing with Elegoo.
