Basic claim denied as pre-existing.
This company denied a basic claim that fell under preventive coverage for bloodwork but was treated as an illness because of the symptoms my pet had. The insurance company considers this a pre-existing condition that comes with a waiting period therefore denying reimbursement from said claim. Moreover, they advised any future claims related to the same symptoms or issues in the future will also be met with a denial both by this company and any other companies. They are hiding under it all be pre-existing, despite that her symptoms began after I purchased the insurance. If insurance companies are not required to reimburse pet owners when their pets are ill regardless of the reason or symptoms, at anytime classifying as pre-existing, then no claims will be reimbursed and there is literally no point in having pet insurance. People will be better off to just pay out of pocket for vet visits and avoid the hassle of dealing with insurance companies like Lemonade who offer attractive insurance policies only to deny viable claims. Moreover they shouldn’t be speaking on behalf of other insurance companies when they don’t know their policies. Be forewarned on this company who offers the world but acts very shady when it comes to actual claim reimbursement for valid vet visits. Just stay away.
