Extremely Disappointing Service – Forced to Seek Legal Action
I am deeply disappointed with TuneCore’s handling of my wife’s account and releases. Without warning or clear explanation, all her content was removed from streaming platforms, and her account was permanently closed. Their response cited “abnormal activity” but provided no specifics, evidence, or concrete reasoning. Despite repeated requests for clarification, TuneCore has refused to provide details about which terms were allegedly violated, how, or when. This level of vagueness is unacceptable, especially for a paid service used by independent musicians to distribute their work. As a result of their opaque and heavy-handed approach, we have had no choice but to involve the Musicians Union and pursue legal advice. It is extremely frustrating that a platform meant to support artists instead takes arbitrary actions that jeopardize careers and earnings. Independent musicians, beware: TuneCore’s policies allow them to terminate accounts at their discretion, and they do not provide adequate transparency or recourse when issues arise.
