At least now I can say one good thing about Vodien
After some haggling, I finally managed to get a fair refund from Vodien upon terminating their service.

I had previously given them a 1-star rating, primarily for their terrible email hosting service. At least they refunded my money, which is good-a good sign of some integrity there.
I sincerely hope their management learns from this experience. Putting customers' emails on a non-supported, expired so-called OS-7 operating system and then asking us to pay a whopping over S$9K just to migrate us to a normal operating system (Linux or whatever is out there) is quite a business model I never heard of.
Let’s hope they can improve from this point on.

I had email hosting service with…
I had email hosting service with Vodien for my 2 companies. The experience was awful, to say the least.
1. About 4 years ago we received tons of spam’s and viruses on our emails, we had to pay Vodien to upgrade our package.
2. A number of times our clients did not receive our emails , their technical teams had to change our outlook settings. This never happened with our other provider, Singtel.
3. Then in mid June to early July this year our emails were down practically every 2 hours and each time it took Vodien hours to pick up our calls. They told us that this problem was because our emails is hosted in a Server that is running in an outdated/end of life so called OS7 operating system
4 Vodien asked us to pay some S$ 9K to upgrade to a more reliable server. This is despite the fact that they claimed that their service SLA is 99.9%
5 I called Vodien a few times asking them to give a full explanation of what they meant by OS 7( who is the vendor, what it is, etc) None could give definite answer .
6 some guy named Mark (I called him on 21 Nov 2024) from technical support , who didn’t want to reveal his last name , doesn’t know what their company’s OS7 was . He also told me that it was their company policy they can’t reveal their last name , despite there is a few Marks in the company. This was, he said, to prevent abuse from customers. I’m guessing their technical team must have received lots of complains and name calling due to their awful service .
7. Spoken to Alvin Y from business development , he told me he would email me more information on what they meant by OS7, until now l’ve never received his email

Please .. before you ask me to email you again, just refund our money for the remaining service , I’m done with Vodien. This is So that I can say one good thing about Vodien … HONESTY and INTEGRITY

This company claimed some 99.9% SLA
This company claimed some 99.9% SLA, but our email hosting service with them for the past 2 years ( we have 2 companies) , have been nothing more than a Joke , when we first signed up ( about 4 years ago) there were lots of junk emails and viruses , then we agreed to upgrade based on their recommendation
Thereafter we experienced many lost emails and they requested us to change our outlook settings a number of times
Then sometime in late June/early July this year our emails were down almost every couple hours .
They told us that this was because our emails was hosted on their server with some obsolete OS 7 ( whatever it is ) and asked us to pay about S$ 9K in order to upgrade and get stable emails …..yet they still maintained that their service level is 99.9%
So we decided to terminate our service and demanded refund but they said we couldn’t get any refunds …
Seriously , do they even understand business ethics or have. Some kind of self respect???
We lost lots of emails …

VODIEN INTERNET SERVICE IS TERRIBLE OUR…
VODIEN INTERNET SERVICE IS TERRIBLE OUR EMAIL HAS BEEN DOWN MANY TIMES The last incident was yesterday and today. Case number I-1349981
Today we were told that there is mis-setting on some SPF on their end and it would take 2-4 hours to fix. I was told also that yesterday's case was the same but there was no follow UP!! we have been wasting our time waiting for our emails to get back up.
Again this is one of the many complains we have had with our emails. Can you get your Senior Management to contact me? I want to terminate this terrible Email service.
