Didn't work in my rural area
I went over to pure talk because it claimed to have strong signal in rural areas and utilized the same towers as AT&T. In The surrounding rural areas, I did find that the signal was generally good. However, in my home, I had little to no signal and could frequently not even make a voice call. In addition, I also learned that I was not able to use Wi-Fi calling with pure talk. Evidently, they support it with most iphones and some androids. Even after calling support, when claimed to have turned my Wi-Fi calling, it was definitely not available on my Android. In effect, I was completely unable to make calls from my home unless I was standing outside in the yard somewhere. And I also had a lot of issues sending and receiving texts in the house, even on Wi-Fi. Overall, I would be careful if you live in a rural area, and I would definitely do some research in advance to make sure you are able to use Wi-Fi calling with your phone. I'm switching to one of the bigger companies. The price tag is much higher, but I also don't find hidden problems with those carriers.
