The Rangemaster Professional+ 110
The Rangemaster Professional+ 110 looks great in our kitchen after delivery last week. However we have had some concerns about quality. When unboxed we noticed on the left side towards the rear, there is a piece of shiny steel protruding 3mm from the black casing, whereas the other side is OK. As the cooker still fits and the fault will not be seen, we spoke to the retailer and have decided to keep it. As we use LPG, the jets have had to be changed in accordance with the instruction book provided. For the grill, these instructions say the jet should be changed after replacing the front panel covering the other replaced jets and that access to the grill jet is in the grill section. Our engineer searched for a long time and couldn't find it. He had to leave after spending 40 minutes trying to get through to Rangemaster without success. He returned next day and after searching on Google found that the jet is in fact behind the front panel, like the others. So the Rangemaster instructions are wrong and the panel was removed again and jet replaced. Unnecessary extra work and time spent at this. We have used the cooker today and the oven door popped open several times, which I have in fact seen on other review sites. I have to say that I am left somewhat unimpressed with the build quality, the incorrect instructions provided and await advice on ensuring that the oven door is made to stay firmly closed.
