Bait & Switch
I have other products by Wondershare which are actually really nice, but Recoverit is SLOW and ineffective - at least the Video AI Enhancement feature. I signed up for the free trial, but that is so limited that you HAVE to purchase the full software in order to test it out. I took over 2 hours to render a 12 second clip and the rendered video was no different than the source video that I provided. I tried, it didn't work so I went back to request a cancellation / refund under the offered satisfaction guaranty and wouldn't you know it, they have fine print and were at the ready to show me all the screen shots of their fine print that the satisfaction guarantee is only valid if the product fails to perform, not because I've decided that I wasn't satisfied with the results. They also required screen shots of the software failures... I'm not even sure what that's supposed to look like. I don't think the software failed, I think it's ineffective - at least in my experience. I've had the software for only a few hours... it's not like I've been using it for 29 days and want to get my money back. Either way, though, it was a SATISFACTION guarantee and they don't really care about my satisfaction. I'm happy with Filmora (another product by this company) but I'm now HIGHLY suspect of their customer service and I will not be spending any more money with them. Too bad, really. UPDATE: In response to the reply, it's clear that they didn't even read my concern. Simply repeating that they need screenshots / more information to refund if it's a technical issue is not reasonable is not helpful nor does it constructively address the concern that I've reported. What screenshot am I supposed to provide that proves that it took too long to render a file without any notable difference? The app didn't crash, it just isn't good, in my experience, and to jump through a bunch of impossible hoops just to enact the satisfaction guarantee is no guarantee at all. Based on the non-friendly responses I've gotten to date, I have no expectation that I'll be getting a refund of any sort. Lesson learned - no more reason for me or anyone in my firm to do business with this company in the future. Trust is important, and they have not earned it.
