Avoid, Not Recommended
We got sold on paycom with the vision that it would make our payroll and HR more automated, what we are finding out after using the system is that it actually makes it harder, causes gaps in compliance, and the services offered are not as sold. Paycom has a long way to go to reach the standards of payroll platforms like ADP, Rippling, Gusto, and many others. If you do choose to go with paycom, make sure you read their agreement which locks you in regardless of the system not functioning as it should. Like same day payroll batches, or off cycle payroll costing you each time when other platforms don't, terminated employees not receiving the correct pay due to calculation of hours not processing the way a payroll platform should, month of implementation just to spend more time throughout the year trying to fix the implementation teams mishandling, manual requirements for data feeds, among other things. I would not recommend paycom to any company or HR representative ever. Hopefully this review allows for another company not to be caught inside of a multiyear agreement with a platform that doesn't function.
