Avoid this company at all costs. We missed a connecting flight in Houston on our way to Auckland and got stuck there. The airline told us they couldn’t help because we booked through a third-party agency—Ovago—and we had to go through them instead. That’s when the real nightmare began. Ovago not only failed to assist us, but they also canceled our entire trip, including our return flights from Australia, claiming the airline was to blame and there was nothing they could do. Their customer service was rude, unhelpful, and incredibly frustrating to deal with. After hours on the phone, I finally got both Ovago and the airline on a conference call, during which the airline gave Ovago permission to rebook us on the same flight for the following day. They still didn’t book it. I stood at the gate while the flight was boarding, on yet another call with both parties, and Ovago continued to do nothing. Fortunately, the airline stepped up, did an override, and reopened the gate to get us on the plane. This company was a complete failure at every step. I wouldn’t trust them with a bus ticket, let alone international travel. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what we did.
