SamCart

After testing Samcart, 1 Star is FAR Too Generous....

After testing Samcart, I wasn't the least bit surprised to see all the 1 star reviews here and clearly there's some business ethics issues with these guys, but did any of you people giving them 1 star even bother to test out the platform during your trial period or just realize how shady they were after they kept hitting your cards after you canceled? You must not have or surely some of you would've added how much a joke the platform itself is in your 1 star reviews. Out of all the marketers online who promise the sun, moon and stars and deliver garbage once they get your money, these guys are at the top of the list! At least CF can say they were decent at one point and still are at least somewhat decent for front end funnels, which is what they were supposed to be good at. Samcart's business is pitched as the Mercedes of checkout pages and even those don't work. I could write a short book here on all of the over promise under deliver marketing tactics they use, and they're damn good at that at least, but the platform is a complete dumpster fire. It's pretty at first sight until you try to build a sales or checkout page. I'll keep it short, because thanks to them I've got funnels to rebuild. - The course app to host your courses on is ok, nothing special but simple set up. Probably because it's the first thing new customers do, but the rest of the platform is worse than I would've even thought possible. - The checkout pages are horrendous in every way and that's what they claim to be the best at. Karta is even better, so that should tell you just how bad it really is. The order forms constantly default to let customer choose what to pay (no I didn't set it up that way), all outside HTML is blocked out by the site purposely, images can't go by or under submission forms, the bump offer boxes are hideous and have a mind of their own, plus the customer can just check the bump and the and buy it without the actual primary product being purchased. Their express forms are actually built so that the product line name and bump name appear to be the same product, just different prices and if the customer clicks the bump in that line they checkout for the price of the bump. I've barely scratched the surface here, but it's obvious that their business is built purely on marketing promises and with just enough emphasis on the platform itself to keep it up so they can keep hitting cards monthly. I should've learned my lesson when I signed up for their AI driven slide creator that was all hype and a garbage product that Samcart would be the same, but they did a great job of dressing it up and pitching it as something it's definitely not.
