Exploring China Solo—with a Little Help from Incredible Guides
My recent trip to China was truly unforgettable, and I owe so much of that to the incredible team at TCT, especially Merry, who organized every detail with such care and professionalism. From the very beginning, Merry made the entire planning process feel effortless. She was responsive, thoughtful, and always attentive to what I needed. Thanks to her, every part of my journey was smooth and stress-free. I felt supported even before I arrived, and everything unfolded exactly as promised—if not better. In Beijing, I had the pleasure of being guided by Garry, who was nothing short of amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, which made exploring the city so much more enjoyable. What really stood out was his attentiveness, he was always checking in, making sure I was comfortable, safe, and getting the most out of the experience. His kindness and flexibility set the tone for the entire trip. In Xi’an, I was lucky to have Maison as my guide, and we hit it off right away. Being around the same age helped us connect on a more personal level, and he was just so easy to talk to. Maison was always accommodating, going out of his way, even outside his work hours, to make sure I was taken care of and enjoying an authentic experience. His knowledge and passion for his city really shone through, and I honestly felt like I was traveling with a friend. In Shanghai, the final stop on my journey, I was welcomed by Philip, who was kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and he made the arrival feel smooth and easy. My tour guide in the city, Eileen, was just as wonderful. She was friendly, well-informed, and made sure I had a great time exploring all that Shanghai had to offer. It was the perfect way to wrap up the trip. Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have been in such good hands with TCT. Every guide was outstanding in their own way, ensuring every moment was just right. I wholeheartedly recommend all of them to anyone planning a trip to China. Thanks to this amazing team, what could have been just a vacation turned into something truly meaningful.
