Time-consuming, frustrating, terrible
SHORT: Paid $303 for gazelle.com iPhone, refunded $230. Will never shop gazelle.com again b/c of warranty experience. LIFE LESSON: BUY LOCAL (from trusted biz so can return/exchange) LONG: I bought a used iPhone from gazelle.com and within a month of having the phone it shut off and wouldn't restart. The whole warranty process was a painful back and forth trap where I was strung along step-by-step: 1) Fill out initial form including IMEI 2) need pic of IMEI 3) need pics of front/back of phone 4) need repair shop detailed quote 5) Fill out payment form. Each step had time constraints which serve to nullify the claim, e.g. the repair shop quote "you are not yet authorized to proceed to a repair or an exchange at this time. You have 2 weeks to provide this quote after which your claim will no longer be valid and this damage will not be claimable." Overall a very time-consuming rigorous process with "2 weeks or you get zero" timelines built-in, all intentionally so. Returned $230 of $303 purchase. I guess I'm spoiled by Amazon returns. NEVER AGAIN.
