Did not work and expensive
Company pressures user into paying for service to recover files before the disk gets corrupt and files cannot be saved. In my case, the files were unrecoverable and the tool consistently shows that files were recovered, but were corrupt after recovering. The software is very expense and free alternatives exist like Recuva, that indicate files are unrecoverable rather than spending a lot of money on this software to find out after the fact that this software cannot recover them. I contacted customer support, opened several tickets. I submitted a for a refund application and I was immediately denied a refund and redirected to their refund policy. Read their refund policy carefully . My experience was that recoverit could not restore any of my files. I also reached out for technical support. [edit Aug 4]: I have already submitted logs and sample files via the customer account portal. I am about 24 hours into the refund / technical debugging process. At this point I would rather just have a refund and accept my files as permanently lost. [edit Aug 7]: I upgrade from 1 star to 3 stars. Wondershare issued a refund for my purchase because I could not recover any of my files. Why 3 stars: the refund process was stressful added to my lost files; the SW did not show any indicate that the restored files were corrupt, in fact it showed success but I was not able to open any of the recovered files; I used another tool Recuva that reported my files were not recoverable. The team did review the recovered files I sent to them and confirmed that my SSD Trim function made my files not recoverable.
