Slow Refund & Lack of Transparency - 20 Days for a Rejected Transfer
I transferred £308.08 GBP (an accepted currency per Aspire) via Wise to my Aspire SGD SWIFT account on August 5, 2025. The payment went through but was later reported as rejected by Aspire and failed to reflect on my account. Aspire and its payment partner, Wallex, held my funds until August 18, 2025. far too long for a simple return. I was informed that the refund was initiated on August 13, 2025, yet no proof or reference was provided for several days. When the refund finally came through, only £301.13 GBP was returned. An unnecessary deduction of £6.95 GBP, which I had to escalate again. I only received the remaining amount by August 25, 2025 making it a 20-day frustrating experience overall. On the positive side, Aspire’s Escalations Senior, Nikhil, was professional, transparent, and provided the only clear explanation of the situation. He ensured I eventually got my full amount back. If the process had been explained this clearly from the start, I could have avoided a lot of stress and anxiety. However, the overall experience was frustrating, slow, and lacked transparency. Customer support often took 1–2 business days to respond to basic queries unless I followed up persistently. Aspire must improve refund speed, provide immediate proof of transactions, and prevent unnecessary deductions for rejected transfers.
