WARNING TO INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS
WARNING TO INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS I signed up to SoundOn thinking I was distributing my music. I was actually giving my rights away — permanently. Like most users, I did not read the Terms of Service carefully. SoundOn counts on that. Hidden in their contract is a clause that says, even if you delete your account, the license you granted over your music remains valid. Forever. You lose access to your own content. They keep the right to use it. This is not a misunderstanding. This is not a bug. This is the business model. I had 28 original compositions on this platform. They are no longer fully mine. If you are a musician, do not upload anything to SoundOn before understanding what you are actually signing. The platform is free. Your music is the price.
