Blink vs Brinks Brain twister!

I have an interesting story. Brinks took over Guardian apparently just after I had cancelled with Guardian. My wife takes care of bills. She asked me about the Brinks charges. I had installed 12 cameras with Blink before I cancelled Guardian. When she asked me about the Brinks charges, I thought she said Blink but she had actually said Brink. I assumed it was a charge from Blink and told her it was for the new Blink system I had installed. I then forgot about it. Apparently in the transition when Brinks took over Guardian the cancellation didn’t go with it. The perfect storm of Brinks vs Blink. About 2 months ago the credit card that had been used for the past 3 years, or so, expired. I received a letter from Brinks saying that the card wasn’t working. I received a letter from Brinks saying the card no longer works and asking for payment. I contacted Brinks and explained things to the representative. We both had a good laugh. I told him I didn’t want the payments that had been made over the years. But suggested they forgive the declined charge. Another letter came asking for my signature that I understood the serves had been canceled. Next letter was a bill for the declined payment and the payment for the next month. I called and was told that the service had not been cancelled until they received the signed response. I objected saying that I understood that it was cancelled when I told the agent to cancel. That I would not pay for services after cancelling with the agent. Now this is now only about the $36 ish charge for the month after I had cancelled. The lady agent was very ignorant and condescending as we spoke. The call was dropped, I thought she had just hung up on me. I couldn’t hear or understand her due to the back ground noise and her poor English. She was annoyed when I asked her to repeat or speak louder. My fault at 76 years of age, failing hearing, beginning dementia to have trouble hearing or understanding. When I called back I got another agent who was understanding, spoke without a heavy accent, and easy to hear and understand. She tried to get a supervisor but they were all in a meeting. She said they would call me back when the meeting was over. I waited the rest of the afternoon and evening, no call. They left a message the next day to call them back at a specific number. When I returned the call a male who answered the call acted totally bored and simply said “do you want to pay the bill or what”. Like talking to a door. So I told him I would pay the bill. He added on a charge for using a credit card. The way I was treated made it worth $78 + not to have to deal with them any more. We used there system for a short time but didn’t like it and went with blink. I would strongly recommend a different company if you really want or need a system. If you go with Brinks Pray you don’t ever need to work with customer service. Update: Brinks response is a prerecorded generic response. Responding as they suggest would be another waist of time. Save your selves a lot of time snd head aches. They don’t listed or have any concern for the customer, in my experience abs opinion. Follow up to the update. Trustpilot has required that I respond to Brinks with additional information to prove this is an honest review. I have provided the information they have asked, minus a reference number that I have no idea what that is. The issue isn’t over the money, it boiled down to $35. For heaven sake’s, you drop more than that for a meal at Mac Donald’s. I have been paying the $35 each month for years. I did not ask for any refund. But to be treated as if I were being dishonest and refusing to honor my request to cancel at the time I spoke to their representative is the issue. After I called and canceled with the rep, I received a letter with a form requesting a signature stating I understood that Brinks would not be proving service. I signed the form and returned it to Blinks. I thought everything was settled. Then I received another bill requiring two months of payments. When I called about, what I thought was a mistake, the problems with degrading treatment began. I suggested that they forgive the month’s charge when they did not receive payment. They were not obligated in any way to continue service that was not paid for. I also told the rep that I had cancelled the service with the original rep during my original call. She said no, I was obligated to pay for service up until the time they received my signed statement. When I objected the degrading began. The rest of the story is well documented in my original review. Brinks has been paid in full. I no longer have any obligation to Brinks. I do have a right to give an honest review based on how I was treated. There is no way to fix or correct this. I will not accept a refund or apology as a basis to change my honest review. My honest review based on my experience stands.
