Velvet Caviar

No one ever wins with Carnival Games

I wanted to like Velvet Caviar, I really did. The designs are genuinely nice and the products themselves are… fine. Not amazing, not terrible, just solid enough for everyday use. That’s about where the positives end. The buying experience feels like stepping into a carnival game where everything is flashing, counting down, and yelling “last chance!” The constant timers, BOGO deals, and urgency tactics don’t come across as exciting, they feel pushy. Instead of building confidence, it makes you question the value of what you’re buying. Honestly, those pressure tactics alone are enough to make sure I won’t purchase from them again. Where this really falls apart is customer service. After looking into their Better Business Bureau profile and seeing an F rating, it starts to make sense. There’s a pattern of complaints around missing packages, return issues, and lack of response. And it’s not just a handful—there are a lot of them, with many customers saying they couldn’t get a resolution or even a reply. One of the biggest frustrations is how refunds are handled. Instead of actually refunding your money, they push store credit. That’s not a solution—it just locks you into spending more with a company you’re already having issues with. Pair that with “free returns” that don’t feel very free once you go through the process, and it leaves a bad taste. So here’s the bottom line: Products: decent, nothing special Sales tactics: aggressive and gimmicky Customer service: unreliable Refunds: replaced with store credit instead of real solutions There are plenty of brands out there making similar products without the pressure tactics and with actual support behind them. This feels like style over substance—and when something goes wrong, you’re pretty much on your own.
