Deceptive Practices and Incompetent Executive Support – DTI Case #1FHLN3cbJHGSVichI4iz
I am writing this to warn other consumers about Grab Philippines' blatant disregard for consumer rights and their incredibly scripted, robotic support system.I was overcharged for an order (GF-453) where I paid 1,170 PHP but received items worth only 900 PHP. Despite providing the physical merchant receipt as irrefutable evidence, their support agent "Matthew" had the audacity to ask for unreasonable proof like taking photos of the food on top of a paper bag, even after the merchant already admitted the error. It has been over 24 hours of "investigation" from their so-called "Executive Escalations Team," yet no refund has been processed. They are intentionally using delay tactics, hoping customers will just give up on small claims.I have already filed an official complaint with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) under Tracking Number: 1FHLN3cbJHGSVichI4iz. It is pathetic that a multi-billion dollar company would choose to tarnish its reputation over a simple 270 PHP refund. If you value your money and your sanity, use other platforms. Grab's "Executive" support is just a glorified template sending machine with zero accountability.
