I was billed $85.00 every week for 36 consecutive weeks — a total of $3,060.00 — without my authorization. The charges ran from May 3, 2025 to February 14, 2026. That is 8 months of unauthorized weekly billing that did not stop even after I reported it to both BetterHelp and my financial institution. My bank directed me to contact the merchant. BetterHelp has not refunded a single dollar. I originally turned to BetterHelp because I was struggling with my mental health. Instead of help, I received 36 unauthorized charges, zero resolution, and financial stress that has made my situation significantly worse. I have submitted a formal legal demand letter and I am prepared to escalate this to the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Service Alberta under the Consumer Protection Act, and small claims court. This is not a billing dispute. This is 36 weeks of documented unauthorized charges that continued after being reported. I have every transaction date and amount on record.
