E2 route 12 days Lhasa Lingzhi EBC Namcho
The trip was well organised as a whole. I chose this route partly because I wanted the extra days at lower altitude to acclimatise for higher altitude later, also partly because of good reviews on Lingzhi as 西藏的江南. Unfortunately I missed the 桃花 and 杜鹃花 season by a few weeks. Out of all the places we have been to, I liked the Patola Palace and the Everest base camp the most. The Everest base camp though it was very cold and the risk of altitude sickness, it was worth going there at least once in a life time. I have been to the Nepal side of the base camp. Perhaps the impact of the South side was greater because you have to walk 6 days to reach there, but both side are equally impressive. I also like all the 3 lakes we have been to, especially 巴松措. Of the 5 temples, Patola Palace was the most impressive. Places that I don't give high rating are 卡定溝, which I felt was quite boring, and the 藏族文化体验, also doesn't suit my interest. I like the Lhasa museum better though it was not in the itinerary. I went to the 布达拉宫广场 twice, also not in the itinerary. As a whole, the trip went well and everyone was happy, hotels chosen were good, bus was comfortable, travelling time well managed and above all, nobody got sick at high altitude. Lastly I would like to thank my agent Jasmine who was very helpful in all aspects in my dealings with the tour. I would recommend Odyssey Travel to my friends if they are interested to come to Tibet.
