Scammy, Pushy, ridiculous pricing
I called Renewal by Anderson about 2 standard wooden doors. Nothing special! Ihad already gotten one quote for $980 each. I was wanting one more competing quote before moving forward.I called the central customer service number and they were difficult. They wanted the sales person to be there ONLY when both my wife and I would be available. They were very pushy. Almost how you might think a scammer would be pushy. The meeting must last at least an hour. I pushed back and said come out but no guarantees. They can out 2 hours later. I told the sales guy my needs were simple and showed him the 2 doors. He wanted to try to sell me windows also but I told him I was not interested and just give me the quote. He took about 10 minutes taking measurements and asking a few questions before quoting a price. $12,500 per door! I was appalled and politely thanked hom and showed him out.From the moment I placed the initial call to the end of the process it was very Scam like and candidly absurd. They are just looking for the one good fool on which to break even after the previous 100 targets have turned them down.
