I have reviewed less than 5 things online in my entire life and this will be the only negative one. M1 is as good as scamming me in my opinion, as I always use e-sim for mobile data when I travel. I have never turned on data roaming using the m1 card while overseas or in Singapore. The daily passport from m1 always detects <200 bytes of usage, and starts charging me the daily passport rate. Worse still, it’s not possible to deactivate the daily passport from their m1 app when this happens. When you give them a call, they will give all sorts of reasons why you are charged, none of them involving you actually using their data roaming overseas. They have also refused to waive the fees, and being unable to even turn their data passport services off overseas, you are left with a hefty bill when you arrive back home to Singapore. This happens EVERY SINGLE TRIP. I have paid hundreds for no reason in total, applicable whenever you travel. It doesn’t matter whether your m1 SIM card is turned off or not. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if they charged me for their data passport even after I change telco. This is utterly ridiculous and I will be seeking legal avenues to dispute the charges.
