Superprof - proceed with caution
Be very careful. I used Superprof to find a French tutor. I duly found one and paid the £39 fee which I believed was to secure my first lesson with the tutor, even though she said her first lesson was free. I thought I would have to sort that out with her when I met her. A month later another £39 was deducted from my account. I contacted Superprof who informed me that I had subscribed to their service. I was not aware that I had subscribed. I was informed that I had received an email to confirm this. I did not. If I had, then I would have cancelled it straight away. I asked for proof that the email had been sent and received by me and have not received that. I was offered one month free as 'compensation'. I am trying to get a refund as I believe that my payments were taken without a full explanation of what I was committing to, and without any confirmation which would have given me the opportunity to cancel. At Superprof there is only one email to contact, there does not appear to be a facility to escalate complaints so I am £78 out of pocket and really very unhappy with Superprof and will not be recommending them to anyone.
