Greyhound Bus

Remind passengers to keep shoes on, use headphones, and be respectful. Also use less-odorous cleaners; restroom-like smells made one trip nauseating.

Please ensure that drivers remind passengers of the bus rules before or at the start of each trip, including keeping their shoes on, using headphones when listening to music or watching videos, and maintaining respectful conversations. On my trip from Denver to Kansas, the driver made these announcements, and it made for a very pleasant and comfortable ride. However, on the return trip from Kansas to Denver, the driver did not provide these reminders. As a result, several passengers removed their shoes and engaged in loud, inappropriate conversations, which made the trip much less comfortable. Consistent reminders from drivers can make a significant difference in creating a respectful and enjoyable environment for everyone on board. I would also like to suggest reviewing the cleaning products used on the buses. Although the bus from Denver to Kansas appeared to be clean, it had a very strong odor similar to a restroom cleaning chemical throughout the entire trip. The smell was overwhelming and made the ride nauseating at times. In contrast, the bus from Manhattan to Denver did not have this chemical odor and was much more pleasant at the start of the trip. Later in the journey, however, the air quality deteriorated because some passengers removed their shoes. Addressing both the cleaning product odor and enforcing the shoe policy would greatly improve the overall passenger experience.
