Invasive Processes/Holding Money Hostage
Trading platform options: phone, tradingview, and download (no real money web-based trading on their website; only paper trading). Their website has limited functionality, they push you to do everything through the phone, etc. They invade your personal data space by having overly invasive processes. I didn't like the setup and the way they do things for general stock trading, so I wanted to transfer my money out. But, they didn't allowed it (and still haven't authorized it yet). They want my license/photo ID, bank statement, etc... to authorize the transfer. I sent them a redacted bank statement and because my bank account has a suffix (III) (everything else is the same) that was enough to decline it (keep in mind they are returning the money back to where they got it from (not a different acct)). I am still fighting with them to get my money. I have used a number of brokers, I have NEVER had an issue with any of them like this. This is the hardest one to work with and it is the most invasive one I have ever used. I will never use them for anything.
