Miniso

I am writing to express my disappointment for customer services…

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent purchase I made at your Miniso store located at Burlington Centre (777 Guelph Line, Burlington). I purchased a doll as a birthday gift for my six-year-old granddaughter. I am not a regular customer of your store, and I was unfamiliar with your blind box products or your final sale policy. Before making my purchase, I specifically asked the salesperson for a princess doll. The salesperson handed me a sealed box, and I trusted that it contained an appropriate doll for a young child. At no point was I informed that it was a blind box, that the contents were random, or that the item was a final sale. There was no stamp or notice on my receipt indicating that the purchase was non-refundable, and the salesperson never mentioned this policy. When my granddaughter opened her birthday present, we were both shocked to discover that the doll had a frightening appearance, including what looked like bloody tears. Instead of receiving a princess doll, she received a toy that terrified her. She was so frightened that she was afraid to sleep that night. I returned to the store hoping to exchange the unopened packaging and the unwanted doll for a more suitable item or to receive a refund. Unfortunately, the salesperson refused, stating that the item was not refundable. I believe this situation is unfair and unacceptable. Had I been informed that the box contained a random surprise doll or that it was a final sale, I would never have purchased it. As a customer, I relied on the salesperson's recommendation when I specifically asked for a princess doll suitable for a six-year-old child. I feel that I wasted my money, but more importantly, my granddaughter had a very upsetting experience because of this product.
