Renting broken products
For product and customer service. 2 weeks ago, my husband went to rent a trencher because our neighbors are building a fence and making us fix the crossover of our sprinklers. After only 2 hours, and having put our own gasoline into the tool, he found it was dysfunctional. The cord would rip out, it would die after a few minutes of use, and it hurt his hand. He attempted to return it and obtain a refund for the poor performance. The representative acknowledged that that particular tool was 'on its way out' but only gave $50 back, not offering any credit and claiming the manager was not onsite for escalation. Home Depot stole $250 from us! Our project remains unfinished for a couple months and our lawn is now dead.
