Very rude cashier!!
This is for the Bonners Ferry Idaho store. I have always liked this store, It is quiet and clean and mostly has had helpful people. I was in the store today and had a 6 back of beer that i unloaded out of the cart with other groceries for my wife. My wife was paying for everything and had her visa and club card ready in hand. The cashier then asks me for ID. (I am 51 year old) I did not think anything of it or why. I then said i don't have id. I had summer wear on and was not caring a wallet as my wife had her stuff. He then became very rude when I said i don't have any and my wife does as she is paying. He then went off on how i touched the beer so i need to provide id. I then said well i don't have any and she can deal with it from here as she has id and i am sure i don't look under 21 so i think she can pay for this and we will be on our way! This guy proceeded to tell me i have an attitude and its the law. He may be correct it is the law but if my wife was paying for our buns and beer i don't think this should of been an issue to pursue. Instead of correcting him self and jut letting it go he kept at me until i became agitated and told him not to sell us the beer. He then still would not let it go so we left our other groceries on the till and left. I will never be setting foot in that store again, and i will spread the word of this to anyone else i know shopping there. The Supper 1 store across the street from this location had better deals on beer i found anyways and i had no issues purchasing it with my wife. It is too bad because like i said I have shopped at this Safeway location for the last 20 years + when I come to Bonners ferry. I will not be anymore. By the looks of how many cars are in your parking lot compared to the one at the Supper 1 I think I can see others are doing the same.
