9am Health does not do its job
Working with this organization has been a nightmare. It is overly generous to say their communication is poor. Its difficult to get in contact with a real human. When you do, they do not respond promptly. And, when they do respond, they will ignore questions, requests, or concerns. Insurance requires ysing 9am Health. In the 2 months since joining, I have not been connected with a medical provider despite numerous requests. This is a major red flag considering that insurance made them my sole provider. Moreover, there are elements of their program that promote disordered eating. (Ex. Taking a picture of your meal to receive feedback from the app.) I have asked what their evidence-based model their program is based on, and it appears there is not one. According to a licensed counselor treating eating disorders, this program promotes punishment and weight loss over healthy lifestyle. They use their program (auto-connected scale, taking pictures of meals, etc) to deny or revoke your prescription, if you don't make consistent or make enough progress.
