Beihai and Kunming LTL
Overall, I had an amazing experience with LTL’s Mandarin schools in Beihai and Kunming. Savannah, the Director of Studies for Kunming and Beihai, is prompt and consistent in her communication. Each week she organizes activities and helps students get to know each other. Even when small logistical hiccups happen (e.g. a restaurant being out a certain meal she ordered for the group), she adapts quickly and checks in to make sure you get to have input. In addition, Savannah set me up with a homestay in Beihai which was so welcoming and helped me transition to my new environment. My teachers in Beihai and Kunming were beyond excellent. Summer, my teacher in Beihai, goes the extra mile to provide cultural context and multiple examples to learn from. In Kunming, Luna makes genuine effort to make connections with students and to find every occasion to make the learning situation light-hearted.
