Terrible quality and very high prices. Have shopped here for years but quality has declined so drastically recently that I will never shop here again.
I have bought quite a few items from Anthropologie over the years and up to around a year ago, I was always happy with the quality. In the last year however, the quality has declined dramatically. I have bought about 5 dresses and every single one has developed a rip after 4 or 5 wears. The shoulder strap fell off one of them after one wash! (I washed on a delicate cycle). This dress cost £150!! They also make it extremely difficult to return clothing. Any returns have to be in the original packaging, which makes no sense, because you aren't going to hold on to packaging in case something falls apart. Most people throw the packaging away after delivery. This meant that I couldn't return this dress and have effectively thrown £150 down the drain. Anthropologie has always been very expensive, but I never mind paying more for something if the quality is good and it lasts for years. In fact, I prefer that over shopping at cheaper shops where you know it won't last long because of the poor quality. I will not be shopping at Anthropologie anymore, because I absolutely will not pay £150 for a dress of terrible quality. The quality is so bad and the prices are so high, it almost feels comical. I have no idea how they will continue as a business unless they improve the quality. I wouldn't even spend £30 on a dress that is going to fall apart, let alone £150.
