I purchased LVT flooring from Online Carpets, which was professionally installed on 3 March 2025. Around three months after installation, the flooring began cracking, chipping and breaking away in several places. The deterioration has continued despite normal domestic use. The situation became particularly concerning when my one-year-old son picked up a piece that had broken away from the flooring, put it in his mouth and began choking. We had to remove it from his throat. I provided photographs and raised a formal complaint. Online Carpets rejected the claim, stating that they could not conclude from the available evidence that the flooring was inherently defective when supplied. I am extremely disappointed with the durability of the flooring and the decision to reject my complaint. The matter remains disputed and I am continuing to pursue it.
