Warranty Not What It Seems for Parts Like Wheels and Zippers
TravelPro advertises an all-encompassing warranty on their Platinum Elite products, which is supposed to cover the entire suitcase, including airline damage, for the life of the suitcase, including shipping costs. I reached out to TravelPro for repair options for a broken wheel and zipper on my bag. They confirmed that it would be covered under the warranty, but their solution for repair was to charge $25 to ship less than a pound worth of materials, and then to have me install them myself. This doesn't at all feel like the premium warranty that they advertise. Shipping small materials like this doesn't cost $25-- they're basically charging the replacement cost and forcing the labor on the customer. I'm really disappointed.
